2009 UNA-USA Annual Meeting & Luncheon
Saturday, April 18th -- Oklahoma City University
Model UN Programs: University
students take a broad look at the
UN in the 21st century.
Featuring Stephanie Holliman and Keith
Brecheen, both undergraduate students at the
University of Oklahoma.

Keith Brecheen has been involved with the Model
United Nations of the Southwest since he was a
sophomore in high school.  Currently, he is a senior
at the University of Oklahoma.  Mr. Brecheen was a
delegate at the OU Conference for Jordan,
Colombia, and Finland.  It was through his
experiences as a delegate to MUNSW that he
developed a taste for all things international, and
he was led to pursue his degree at OU.  Brecheen
is studying international relations and American
foreign policy.

Stephanie Holliman is a senior undergraduate
student at OU double-majoring in International and
Area Studies and Economics with a minor in
Spanish.  As the current president of Model united
Nations of the Southwest, she is working hard to
expand the organizations involvement in the
university community as well as improve its impact
with the larger Oklahoma community.  Ms. Holliman
is a recipient of the Cortez A.M. Ewing Public Service
Fellowship, and she is a member of the Honors
College.

Please plan to attend this informative program and
help support our chapter's engagement with
students through the Model UN program.  Make

About the Model
United Nations
The National Model
United Nations (NMUN)
was incorporated in
1968 as a nonprofit, educational corpora-
tion of the United States.  It offers a
diverse group of informed participants a
forum for discussing global concerns in a
context that closely parallels
the "real world."  Students and faculty
from five continents work to propose
resolutions addressing regional conflicts,
peacekeeping, human rights, women and
children's issues, economic / social
development, and the environment.

NMUN programs provide high school and
college students with a better
understanding of the inner workings of
the United Nations as they build skills in
diplomacy and compromise.
