| Our annual Spring Luncheon is a great opportunity to enjoy the company of other members and friends of the United Nations Association. Meet new people. Enjoy good food. Participate in the life of our Oklahoma City chapter. Our program this year will feature young people who are actively engaged in the UN Association and our related programs. From high school and college, these young people are learning about the good work of the UN. Peace is being restored to conflict zones. Child mortality rates are falling. The UN is making important contributions to our under- standing of climate change and sustainable development. The UN is at the heart of the global movement to promote a world-wide culture of peace. Additionally, we will remember the life of one of our chapter's best supporters -- Linda Esser. In her memory, we will present the Larry Eberhardt Award. It is the first time this honor has ever been bestowed posthumously. Come help us to honor Linda's lifetime of achievements. (See a tribute page for Linda ... HERE). Finally, if you are a member of the UN Association, you will have a chance to elect several new members to our board of directors. The nominees are Steve Morrow, Lieneke Mous, Lydia Polley, Boston Snowden, and Jo Snyder. Do you have to be a member to attend the luncheon? Heck, no ... Everyone is welcome! Do you need to reserve a place for yourself and your friends? Yes, indeed ... The caterer needs a head count in advance of the day. How much are tickets? $20 each.
